Web Design

In order to maximize the use of content, one must first recognize text as shapes, not characters. Using type as a tool to for design, rather than just conveying information, can lead to overtly rewarding final products. This creates an underlined and emphasized meaning for your target audience. For instance, a designer might use the characters in the text, “Golden Retriever” to articulate an image of a Golden Retriever. This would create a unique image consisting of the information needing to be conveyed to the target audience.

Another way of introducing text is through “soft” means. A way to accomplish this is to blow the text out of proportion to create interesting background elements for a composition. This allows a degree of “innuendo” to be employed for your design. The soft text might not reach the target audience at first, but when they do discover it, the effort to see it is what makes it memorable.

There are many ways to indulge a target audience to see more than just text when it comes to conveying information. The most visual ways will always be more memorable to a target audience. The more creative the text, the more impressionable the message. This assures that you are not only are you reaching your target audience, you’re conveying your unique selling point to the fullest.

If you found this blog and were looking for the magic SEO (search engine optimization) formula to get your site on the number one spot on Google, you are going to be sadly disappointed but need to read on and learn the truth.

First off, there is no magic formula to get to the number one spot.  If any SEO company promises you the number one spot you need to take a deeper look at what they are offering you.  Sure, you may get a number one ranking but under what search terms?  Chances are they will give you the number one spot under some obscure terms that barely fits your needs.  Make sure you ask them what terms and see if they are relevant to your needs.

Next, don’t expect to get your site in front of every web viewer within the first few days of the launch.  Chances are any site you find as being new and innovative has been around for months if not years.  Don’t treat your website like a brick and mortar store.  Just because you built it, doesn’t mean anyone will come.  You need to give them a reason to come and more importantly you need to find ways to entice them to your site.  Wither it is strong content, a newsletter, video, eBook or basically anything free that your audience wants.

If you’re working with a company to help build your website or to help improve your SEO ranking, make sure that you’re involved in the project, but don’t smoother it.  Keep in mind that you know that you can’t handle the job and that’s why you went looking for help in the first place.  Make sure you know what’s going on and see that your vision is being followed but respect the fact that you went to them looking for help and advice.  Listen to what they have to say, and respect them for the knowledge they can bring to you.  Realize that their goals are the same as yours.  They want you to succeed!  If you make money, then you may become a repeat client or at least provide a recommendation that will lead to more work.
